white rhino
This week in literacy we have been learning about animals in captivity. We had to find out different facts on how the white rhino survives in Africa by listening to a zoo keeper on the Perth zoo website. I was shocked to hear white rhinos have skin that is 3 cm thick. Maybe you could look up about some facts on the white rhino? Or another animal ???

Hi Jacko, these are really interesting facts. I also didn't realise that their skin was so thick, no wonder they need to stand in the shade to cool down! Rhinos are a pretty interesting animal although I'm not sure that I'd like to meet one.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your slide show on white Rhinos. You shared some interesting facts and a great picture. Just as well they can hear so well seeing their eyesight isn't so great. Great job!
